The 100th day is quickly approaching and we are SUPER excited!!!

Our morning snacks supply is LOW!

Our school music show, Melton the Warm Hearted Snowman is Tuesday, February 12th at 2:30.

Our Valentine’s party will be on Thursday, February 14th at 2:30.

We will celebrate the 100th day of school on Friday, February 15th.

Reading and Writing

This week we read books written by Jamie Lee Curtis.  She writes wonderful books all

about being a kid!  In writer’s workshop this week the kids continued circle books based on If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Numeroff. The children have created books that start with an idea. Then the main character gets distracted over and over until finally the book is brought back to the original idea.

So far we have If You Give a Chihuahua a Ball Gown, If You Take a Dragon to the Disco, If You Give a Dog a Bone, and If You Give A Pony a Pancake.

Social Studies and Science

Our SPECIAL KID this week was Maury! Maury loves penguins, mac and cheese, and soccer. He has 3 sisters and 1 brother and wants to be a pilot when he grows up!

Crickets came on Thursday! We will observe them in the week to come.
